How To Obtain First Visa?

What is UID number?
  • U.I.D No or UID No (Unique Identification Number/Social Security Number) is a unified number assigned to each resident, citizen or tourist in UAE. UID number is different than Emirates ID or EID number. Emirates ID is not provided to tourists and visitors in the country. It is mandatory to provide UID No to avail visa services from Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship. It is written as الرقم الموحد in Arabic.

How to obtain Employment Visa (Entry Permit)?
  • Application can be created and paid online through CIS eServices of E-Portal of SAIF ZONE.
  • minimum age limit to apply e-Employment Visa is 18 years.
  • Applicant above 60 years (except owner) eligible to apply for e-employment visa with validity of 1 year.
  • Applicant below 60 years eligible to apply for e-employment visa with validity of 2 years.
What are the documents required to obtain an Employment Visa (Entry Permit)?
  • Valid Trade license copy.
  • Valid Establishment card copy.
  • Color copy of Passport (info page & signature) with a validity of minimum 6 months and 20 days.
  • Identity card copy from the authorities of respective country of origin for the nationalities Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan

How to renew a Residence Visa?
  • Renewal of visa requires application of Residence Permit Renewal to be created and submitted with necessary documents.
  • A Residence Permit Renewal is issued by Federal Authority of Identity & Citizenship and stamped on the passport for investors, employees or dependents.
  • esidence Permit Renewal has to be applied within a grace period of 30 days from the date of visa expiry to avoid a penalty per day.
  • Upon the expiration of visa validity – the Emirates ID card of the applicant gets expired too.
  • Valid Establishment Card and E-Channel registration is mandatory for companies to apply for Residence Permit Renewal.
  • Application can be created and paid online.
  • Customer must upload the Medical Fitness Report and the Employment Contract (only Employees, not for Owner/Partner) in the e-portal.

What is an Emirate ID?
  • Emirates ID is an identity card issued by Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. It is a legal requirement for all UAE citizens and residents to have Emirates ID.
How to obtain Emirates ID?
  • Emirates ID will issuing within applying through one of the following services (Employee Visa Stamping) or (Employee Residence Visa Renewal).
  • Applicant will receive the Emirates ID based on the address or PO Box mentioned in the delivery.
What is Employment Contract?
  • Employment Contract is a legal agreement between the employer and the employee being sponsored in SAIF ZONE.
  • Employment contract is not required in case of Partner or Investor visa.
How to obtain Employment Contract?
  • Employment Contract can be downloaded from ePortal after creating the Residence Permit Application.
  • Presence of the applicant and an authorized signatory from the company is mandatory.
  • Presence of a second authorized signatory from the company is mandatory when the applicant is authorized signatory of the company.
What are requirements for Residence Visa Cancellation?
  • Valid E-Channel registration is mandatory.
  • Valid E-Channel registration is not mandatory for terminated companies.
  • Customer is informed via SMS or ePortal once the Visa Cancellation is completed.
  • Airport exit paper of the applicant is to be uploaded in the ePortal to complete the cancellation process through cancellation clearance service.
  • Refund against applicant can only be processed once the cancellation process is completed and investor services department is informed.
What is Cancellation outside UAE?
  • If the applicant has travelled out of UAE and fails to travel back into the country within 6 month’s period the visa status becomes invalid and it is required to apply for visa cancellation in this case.
How to cancel last visa of the company?
  • If the company wishes to process cancellation of the last visa of a terminated company then it is must to cancel the establishment card along with visa cancellation.
Visa Cancellation can be requested in the following cases
  • Employee or Applicant is willing to obtain new sponsorship outside Hamriyah Free Zone Authority.
  • Employee or Applicant is willing to permanently leave UAE.
  • All the employees, investors and partners visas’ are to be cancelled if license is to be terminated.
What types of refund can be applied?
  • Salary and Ticket Deposit: You may refund salary and ticket deposit if the employee or visa is cancelled and the applicant has travelled outside the country or changed the company.
  • Visa Charges: You may refund visa charges if the visa is unutilized or rejected and is cancelled.
  • Investor/ Partner Deposit: You may refund Investor/ Partner deposit if the investor/ partner name is removed from the Trade License.
  • E-Channel deposit refund if the company cancelled the relative immigration card.
